Schedule
A gentle flow from arrival to last dance
2:00 PM
Guest arrival · Lenno pier
Meet at the main pier in Lenno. Look for our welcome team with olive-green ribbons — they will guide you to the water taxis.
2:30 PM
Water taxi to the villa
A short, scenic crossing to Villa Balbianello. Boats run continuously until 2:45 PM — please don't miss the last departure!
3:00 PM
Ceremony
We say 'I do' in the Loggia overlooking the lake. Please be seated by 2:55 PM.
4:00 PM
Aperitivo & golden-hour photos
Prosecco, antipasti, and time to wander the terraced gardens while the light turns gold over Como.
6:30 PM
Dinner
A long Italian table on the terrace — seasonal courses, local wine, and plenty of toasts.
9:00 PM
Cake & first dance
Something sweet, then we open the dance floor.
10:30 PM
Dancing under the stars
Last water taxis back to Lenno at midnight. Stay as long as your dancing shoes allow.
What to Wear
Garden formal with a touch of la dolce vita
Ladies
Garden formal
Floor-length gowns, midi dresses, or elegant cocktail attire. We'd love soft tones — sage, cream, dusty rose, olive, or terracotta. Please save white and ivory for the bride.
Gentlemen
Suit or tuxedo
A well-tailored suit in navy, charcoal, or warm neutrals. Tuxedos welcome but not required. Linen is perfect for the afternoon arrival.
Shoes & comfort
Think cobblestones + boat
Block heels, wedges, or dressy flats are ideal. Stilettos and the pier don't always get along — we've learned this the hard way.
Evening layer
September on the lake
Warm afternoons, cooler breezes after sunset. A light shawl, wrap, or jacket will keep you comfortable on the terrace.

Water taxi pick-up
Saturday only · Lenno pier (Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini). Complimentary boats from 2:00–2:45 PM. Return shuttles from 11:30 PM.
By train + ferry
Milano Centrale → Varenna-Esino (~1 hr), then ferry to Lenno. Allow 2.5 hours total from Milan.
